I Broke My Camera 248/376

While setting up and making adjustments for day 247 I knocked over the tripod that was holding my 50D and 24-70 f/2.8 L series lens. I think the lens is ok but the camera is in dire straits. It’s going back to Canon for repair. I’m keeping my fingers crossed…..

I think my old Rebel might still be functional but that thing was on the fritz (constantly rebooting after pressing the shutter button) for several months before I retired it. I hope to continue my 365 project uninterrupted but that remain to be seen.

I’m so F#%king depressed!!!

This was taken with a P&S before I shipped it off for repair.

Spooky Light 247/365

My front door from the inside and gel’ed strobe out on the porch. It could have been better but this is my last shot. There’s a sad story that explains why...

The Carnival Comes to Town 241/365

As a kid I loved everything about the carnival, the rides, the games of chance, the sweet treats, etc. Now I see them as a rip off and an accident waiting to happen.

River Boat 235/365

The extended family took a 60 mile Hudson River Cruise from Midtown Manhattan to Newburg NY to celebrate my fathers 76th birthday. The weather was horrible, cold, windy, and rain but the fall colors are underway.

Stuck at Work III - 233/365

I had to work some crazy hours, as a result I had no time to pick up the camera. Rather than leaving holes in my project I’ll use other shots that didn’t get posted.

ALDS Game 2 – Yankees vs. Twins 226/365

Texecuted! My daughter took me to the ALDS playoff game as a birthday present. Without a doubt it was the most electrifying sporting event of my life. We sat in the right field bleaches with the faithful “Bleacher Creatures.” The place was rocking! Mark Teixeira (25) hit a walk-off homerun in the bottom of 11th that sent the place into a frenzy. This is Tex at a previous at bat. It’s my best action shot of him. Shot with a Canon 50D and a Sigma 50-500 at f/5.6~1/100sec~iso1000~500mm and a monopod.

Man Made Falls 219/365

We’ve got these 6ft tall elephant ear plants growing in the yard that naturally repel water. When it rains heavily the cascade of water is very appealing. This was a failed attempt to recreate mother natures beauty without being out in the rain with my gear.
