I find myself inspired by the work of others. This is a commitment to myself to improve my photographic skills by posting a photograph a day.
2009 was my 365 year but I find this the perfect motivator to pick up my camera on a daily basis. I continue my quest of making better photographs and focus my efforts on off camera flash.

Lightning... Well Almost
I've been trying for months to capture lightning with a PatchMaster trigger. I've had approximately 10 opportunities without any success. Tonight I finally took the first step. It's considerably harder than I ever expected.
Try putting your camera on 30 second exposure, or a full minute if your camera can go that long. (this only works at night and with a tripod of course).
