Spot On 318/365

Tinkering with off camera flash. It took more shots than I care to admit to get this one right. I set the dry flowers and vase about 3 feet from the wall and the snooted flash, camera left about 4 feet from the vase at 1/64 power .

  1. The beauty of experimenting though. DOn't you think you will remember a bit more now that you tinkered with the idea. The saying goes, you get better with age and I am a firm believer that you become a better photog with more snaps. :) Nice shot and you set out what you were trying to accomplish which was the real goal in the frist place, whether it took one snap or 50.

  2. I'm in complete agreement but there are times when I wish I had a mentor instead of trying to figure everthing out on my own. Take HDR as an example, I've been trying for 6+ months to create shots like these, http://www.2expertsdesign.com/inspiration/85-examples-of-beautiful-hdr-photography. But nothing comes close.... I keep trying...
